BIBLE READ THROUGH has BEGUN! For Bible Study this year we have decided to engage in a year-long read through of the Bible. We are following the reading list provided in the Lutheran Study Bible to make our way through. Rather than beginning in Genesis and slogging our way through the rule books at the beginning, the Lutheran Study Bible has us begin with the gospel of Luke which has the birth narrative of Jesus that we know so well and several important resurrection appearance stories. Beginning here grounds us in the central stories of our faith as we move onward. This fast paced read through gives us the overview. We are better able to pick out overarching themes and movement. This Bible Study will be offered in two ways.

First, as we usually do, we will offer the course weekly on Zoom Thursdays at 1:15 p.m.  Those wishing to read all the way through the Bible should have the passages to be discussed read before we gather. As always homework is optional. If you do not wish to read all the way through the Bible, you can attend and we will highlight themes, note interesting bits and read a couple passages from the week.
